Event Overview
Infinio Capital, an early stage venture capital firm investing in startups at the intersection of deep tech, information technology, and aerospace, is hosting the Taiwan NewSpace Technology Forum to discuss innovations and business models which unlock the next wave of commercial growth of the Space Economy and how Taiwan’s expansive ICT industry can contribute by making space infrastructure affordable and accessible to a larger customer segment.
In September Taiwan President Tsai Ing-Wen, in a speech at the National Space Organization, declared Taiwan must secure a strategic position in ‘New Space’ and announced a $906 million space budget. Taiwan is actively seeking global space partners to develop their space industry. Being a global leader in Semiconductor, Information & Communications Technology, and Precision Machinery, Taiwan can leverage its existing advantages to quickly produce satellite ground equipment and through partnerships gradually move on to become key suppliers in new space-related equipment and application services. Taiwan hopes to attract global space companies through government grants & incentives, R&D partnerships, and high quality, cost-down manufacturing. Infinio Capital, strategically located in Southern California, the heart of the NewSpace revolution with entities such as SpaceX, Virgin Orbit, and Jet Propulsion Laboratory, will play a key role in facilitating this endeavor by serving as the bridge between the two space-focused ecosystems.
